I highly recommend Oshima Restaurant for authentic Japanese cuisine. We started the meal with Wasabi Shumai, which is a great way to wet your appetite. From there we went right in special rolls, because if you’re going Japanese you’re going there for the fish right? We had the Lobster, King of Dragon, and House Special rolls, which were succulent and rolled to perfection. Even better the Wasabi is real. Not that paste stuff you get everywhere else. The Chef Special for Two was outstanding, and some of the best fish I’ve ever had (no joke). All portions were over the top. Since this was our first time at Oshima we couldn’t resist trying the Angus Beef Teriyaki, and glad we did. Order your beef rare, and you’ll be very happy. We finished off the meal with Tempura Udon / Soba just to make the meal bona fide (all Japanese love their noodles!) Although, Park Slope is out of the way for me, I’m going to find my way back to Oshima Restaurant because it’s that good.
